Cupcakes

  • Mix cake mix, water, oil, and eggs until smooth.
  • Add a few drops of purple & blue food coloring. (Or mix red + blue to get purple—your inner scientist will be proud.)
  • Bake at 350°F for 17 minutes. Let cool completely before filling.

Filling (The Sweet Surprise 💜🍬)

  • Use a knife to cut a small circle in the center of each cupcake.
  • Scoop in a spoonful of Nutella.
  • Add a sprinkle of mini M&Ms.
  • Trim the bottom of the cut-out cake piece so it fits like a little cap, then place it back on top.

Bat Ears

  • Melt 1 cup of milk chocolate.
  • Pour into a Ziploc bag, snip a small hole, and pipe bat-ear shapes onto parchment paper. (Tip: print a template from the internet to trace—no art degree required.)
  • Flip parchment paper so no pencil marks touch the chocolate.
  • Fill ears with chocolate and freeze for about 20 minutes or until hardened.

Spiderweb Topping

  • Spread purple icing over each cupcake.
  • Sprinkle on purple and sugar sprinkles for sparkle.
  • Pipe white icing in a cross shape, then add two more lines (making 8 sections).
  • Connect with little inward arches until you have a web. Remember: wonky webs are still spooky webs.

Cupcake Toppers

  • Print Vampirina pictures, tape to toothpicks, and stick into cupcakes.
  • Add your chocolate bat ears.
  • Stand back and admire your creepy-cute creations before devouring.

The Grand Reveal 🎃

Slice one open and watch the chocolate-y candy lava ooze out. M&Ms tumble, Nutella oozes, kids squeal, adults smile. That’s Halloween magic in a cupcake wrapper. 🦇✨
